As many of you know we had a red out on Friday, March 2nd. Students were asked to bring change to donate to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Pound raised over $6,000 and our class alone raise $675.00. Students came with pillow cases full of change. Thank you for your donations! It was so great to see every student contribute to a great cause!
About Mrs. Rigoni
Hello and welcome to our classroom blog!
This is my 4th year teaching and my 1st year at Pound. Before Pound I taught 6th grade in the Park Hill School District in Kansas City, Missouri. I am currently finishing up my Masters degree in education. I love encouraging students to read and write. My hope is that by the end of the year every student is not only a better reader and writer, but that they also enjoy these activities.
I will update this blog at least once a week with what we are currently doing in class and what is coming up. I will post helpful links to other sites or to documents to help students study for any upcoming tests. I will also post a series of questions each week that are related to what we have been learning. Students should be able to answer these questions; if you aren't able to answer any of the questions then please see me so I can help you better understand.
